Parramatta Race Series: Chasing a 2-Hour Half Marathon!

Follow my journey as I aim for a sub-2-hour half marathon at the Parramatta Race Series by Race Hub. Taper week insights and race day updates coming soon!

Big news, team! My next race is locked and loaded: the Parramatta Race Series by Race Hub. This will be my second crack at the half marathon distance, and I’m gunning for a 2-hour flat finish. That’s right—no more “just happy to be here” vibes. We’re setting goals and chasing them down like they owe us money.

I’ve been putting in the work over the last few months, building that engine, and now it’s time to see if I can hit that magical sub-2-hour milestone. It’s ambitious, but hey, no one ever achieved greatness by setting the bar at “meh.”

Taper Week… But Make It Spicy

So here’s the deal with this taper week: it’s not your classic “kick back and binge Netflix” taper. Nope. This plan has me maintaining a decent amount of mileage but dialing way back on the intensity. It’s all about keeping the legs moving without tipping over into the “my quads are cooked” zone.

The idea is to arrive at the start line feeling fresh, but not like I’ve spent the week wrapped in bubble wrap. Controlled volume, chilled pace, and a laser focus on staying sharp without burning out. Basically, it’s like walking the tightrope between “I feel amazing” and “maybe I should’ve rested more.”

What’s Next? Race Day + Video Recap!

I’ll be updating you all on how the race goes the day after—with a video breakdown of the entire experience. Expect the full rundown: pre-race nerves, mid-race struggles, post-race feels (and possibly some happy tears if I crack 2 hours!).

Stay tuned, and wish me luck! Let’s get after it.
